Windsurfing equipment : my sponser is : www.4boards.co.uk
4 Boards is based in Fawley village near Calshot and they have an excellent range of boards, sails, wetsuits, accessories etc. Also kitesurf equipment and sea kayaks. Bob is the owner and Stu the manager.

Flying :  Western Air - Thruxton Airfield - Flying School : http://www.westernairthruxton.co.uk
Western Air is a great place to fly, whether it is for a one-off trial-flight, birthday-experience or full training to PPL (Private Pilot's Licence).  The people there are very friendly, the prices are reasonable and the fleet if aircraft is excellent. The instructors are very good and are highly qualified and experienced.  They can also give advanced training for night-flying, instrument-rating, multi-engines, commercial pilots etc.  It's an ideal location for a flying school serving Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset etc.   Perfect for flights down to the south coast, west country, midlands and other destinations.  Great for learning as it is well away from the main airports.

Skiing holidays :   http://www.skiworld.co.uk
I very strongly recommend SKIWORLD for skiing & snowboarding holidays.  In January 2012 I made my 40th trip with Skiworld with a total of 50 weeks.  It was also special in that I broke my skiing distance record with 130.66 km in one day in Les Arcs/La Plagne, recorded on GPS, with 14,578 metres descent !
Now we are looking forward to our next trip.  I can say that on every trip the Skiworld service in resort and at head office was truly excellent. Probably nobody knows this better than I do !
Also, when enquiring by phone, the call is answered quickly (unusual these days) and the advisors are very knowledgeable. The company has grown significantly over the years, yet it remains independent and keeps its friendly can-do attitude.  This shows in the high morale and cheerful attitude in the resort teams.  I have been to many resorts in France and USA and they are all consistent.  Skiworld is also very cost-effective, considering the quality of accommodation, service and food in the chalets.  Look on the website for last-minute offers and special deals - many bargains to be had !

French SIMs for travel to France :   http://shop.forthevoyage.com
If you are spending time in France, roaming charges are still high.  Therefore, I recommend obtaining French SIM cards and Orange Mobicarte prepay seems the best in many respects.  These are tricky to buy without a French address and there are no phone shops in the ski resorts.
However, French SIMs can be purchased from "ForTheVoyage", ready registered and loaded with the service and recharge value you require.  Elaine makes a charge for the service, but it is well worth it as your SIM is sent to you quickly, ready to use, registered online and with comprehensive instructions in English.  Elaine also provides assistance if you need help.

Bicycles :  http://www.winkleburycycles.co.uk   I strongly recommend Winklebury Cycles in Basingstoke.
They have an amazing range of bikes in stock from basic ones to top-of-the range. There are often special offers and service there is excellent.  I bought my mountain bike and road bike there and also had a mountain fully serviced and upgraded.

Windows & Doors :  www.brackenwood.com  we had all new windows and a back door installed by Brackenwood of Basingstoke. The price was reasonable, the quality excellent and the installation was done perfectly. They also installed a sliding patio door several years ago and it's as good as new. They have a very impressive showroom and have a lot of experience after 26 years in business. Highly recommended
