07 August 2015
The weather in Southern England in late July / early August has been quite good.  As well as our special fundraising flight in a powered aircraft, I made a couple of excellent glider flights.

We are very happy to have completed our 2015 fundraising flight successfully, safely and exactly as planned !
We are raising money for 2 charities.  As a challenge, and to remember the aircrew who bravely fought in the Battle of Britain 75 years ago, we flew to the memorial near Folkestone.  A Spitfire and Hurricane are parked next to the giant propeller set in the grass.  Information about our actual flight is here :  www.virginmoneygiving.com/DavidAviator
Many thanks to those of you who have already very kindly donated !!
We put a lot of effort into this and I paid for all costs myself, so your money will really help the two organisations to save lives.

It's been quite cool since mid-May, but not much rain.  When the sun is out, it's strong now.
There have been some excellent flying days !  Also some good runs across the fields.
